VGA, the video standard most of us have used for many years, is starting fade into the past as newer technologies emerge. Display port, DVI and HDMI are potential alternatives. Most of our classrooms are wired for VGA, but new projectors are starting to have at least HDMI. New digital rights rules are also complicating the situation. Alpha Video will be reviewing the new technologies and their implications for our schools. Bring your questions as we attempt to navigate changing video technology.

With the explosion of districts exploring and implementing 1:1 programs through district-purchased or student-owned devices, leaders are facing challenges of change and buy-in. How do you inspire staff to buy into a program or a specific device that is chosen by the district? We will explore change and leadership theory and highlight several case studies in which districts have chosen different programs or devices. Several district-level leaders will speak about their experience and share what they have learned. There will be time at the end for discussion and questions so we can continue to learn from each other.
